Thanks Alex! This was actually my first attempt at Tonkatsu. I've just been looking at cookbooks lying around my apartment that have been neglected for a while. But in general, my wife and I typically cook around 70% Japanese and 30% "other."
Cool! It's been hard cooking my own "other"-style favorites here; maybe I can find an English language cookbook of Japanese dishes, and follow in your footsteps!!
That golden crispiness looks gorgeous!!! Is it a personal project to cook this much Japanese, or do you cook Japanese regularly anyway?
